          "leftovers" talk is nonsense.

if you fight in and around the same division , you'll fight the same guys.

by that logic, we could say that Floyd fought Cotto's leftover when he fought Mosley.

and that Marquez was Pacquiao's leftovers

and de la Hoya was Hopkins leftovers

              and Judah was Baldomir's leftovers

              etc.

Floyd didn't fall, his stock dropped
that's what happens when you're inactive
now that he's coming back, he'll be relevant again

Plenty. Doesn't change the fact that it takes courage to get into a boxing ring. Not every guy that walks into a gym turns pro, or even sticks with it for very long.

ehh..... i appreciate what punishment boxers take but i don't see it as a thing of courage.

it's just like any sport with its own set of health concerns.

Gayweather keeps saying that since Manny lost a fight in that decade, he shouldn't have won the award since Mayweather has beaten everyone that was put in from of him. Problem is, Mayweather retired after the Ricky Hatton fight. Had Floyd stayed in the game and fought the top names, like Manny did, he could've won the award. Floyd chose to leave and his crying is just more 'Poor me. I'm a victim. I can't win no matter what I do, etc'. Thought titles and all that just collected dust?
