I didn't see the first fight as being that close. Maidana did hurt khan a couple of times, but for the better part of the fight he was being beaten pretty easily.

I would rather see both fighters taking other fights.

It is pretty clear GBP did not want Maidana to fight Khan in the first place.That is why they did the strange deal for Maidana not to enforce his mandatory rights for 3 fights hoping he would get beaten and then have no leverage. So it is pretty obvious a rematch is not on the card.
