Comments Thread For: Omar Chavez-Jorge Paez Jr. Likely For September 3

Jorge Paez Jr. (28-4-1, 17KOs) is reportedly the likely candidate to face Omar Chavez (26-0-1, 19KOs) in a welterweight battle on September 3 in Chiapas, Mexico. Chavez takes in his second fight of the year and Paez is his most experienced opponent to date. Paez Jr. This would be the fourth fight of the year for Paez, who started well with a win over former champion Jose Luis Castillo in March. If Jorge Paez Jr. can win this he can be the new Dinero de Vaca.

Little Paez could've done something because he's actually got a decent set of skills and agility; however, his lack of dedication faltered him. The fact that he's fighting at welterweight and not lightweight is just another indicator of that! A shame, really.

Easy win for little JR's bro..., Paez too heavy and isn't disciplined to go down a divisiion where he would be better...
