and who was that? because if your talking about james he wasn't with ann wolfe when he lost and spent two years in prison.

so many people act like spending a couple of years is no big deal and doesn't have a serious effect on the body. No sparring, no boxing, no nothing for 2 years. Then he gets a new trainer and they have him fight 2-3 times in a matter of weeks and he wasn't even at his fighting weight yet. It wasn't smart, imo.

i watched vera's most recent fight and he won by KO but looked awful. his opponent was old, slow, out of shape and was a horrible boxer in general, yet he continuously caught Vera with a straight right throughout the fight. Vera had a harder time putting him away than he should've.

it was surprising because i thought Vera looked decent in the Mora fight.

Possibly. From what I read though the training was very laid back with Kenny Adams and it wasn't what james was used to. I think Wolfe helps unleash the beast in kirkland and whoops his ass into shape. I don't know if he'll ever be the same pre-prison, but she'll definitely get him into shape that's for sure.

Even if Kirkland never amounts to nothing he is in the ring training his ass off every day. If he loses he loses. At the very least he's a man trying to make something out of his life. Got to respect that.
