first of all, this fight has nothing to do at all with pbf/marquez. if you believe it has, then you believe in triangle theories, which is considered noobish.

homies always make the mistake of comparing the two fights. but to understand it better, you have to add the audience as a factor in a fight. pacman always tries to please the audience by trying to ko his opponent. in his earlier fights a ko win is a must because roach believed that the judges will always favor pac's opponent in a 12 round decision. the audience loved it and thus became used to seeing pac fight that way.

floyd doesn't give a damn about the audience. he's content winning by ud. so their goals are different. pacman takes risk. naturally, the risk-taker gets hit more by a good counterpuncher like marquez.

alternative style for pac? stop trying to please the audience. take your time and take the defensive stance. look at his last fight against mosley. that was not the offensive pacman we're used to seeing. that was the defensive pacman that was hit less than in any of his previous fights.
