JMM is at his best in serious exchanges where his opponent is going all out, that how he beat Diaz, and some say(including myself) Pacquiao the first time. Mayweather knew enough about being a great counterpuncher to not fall into JMM's gameplan. Mayweather didn't man-handle Marquez, he outboxed the **** out of him. Marquez can't be outfought, but he can be outboxed.

Still, i give Ortiz a solid shot at getting at Floyd just as good if not better then Mosley did. Major difference is Ortiz will take full advantage of it. Mayweather has an underrated chin, but it still will be checked by Ortiz at least once.

He carried Marquez though. Even being careful and trying to get in rounds, it was clear that if Floyd had ever turned it up he could have forced a stoppage without ever putting himself in any real danger.

I think Floyd can stop Ortiz but a dominant decision win is more likely.

the commentators always say floyd has deceptive power

thats why they know nothing about boxing

floyd is a 130 boxer, who hits like a 125 boxer- fighting at 147

pacquiao hits harder than most 170 guys

I always thought Berto's power was overrated, but he did catch Ortiz with some solid shots he didn't see coming. Mayweather is much more accurate then Berto.

At the same time, I don't think Ortiz has the worse chin out there, but he's going to be taking a lot of clean, hard shots.

Definitely a possibility. Though what's more likely is that it's a TKO or Ortiz quits due to discouragement. If he can't land anything and Floyd is hitting him with everything he throws, Ortiz might just quit or the corner throw in the towel.

Don't think an outright KO will happen, but the above probably will.

Of course he could. But he won't.

highly unlikely, Floyd doesn't throw enough to stop anyone anymore. Ortiz has a better chance of catching Floyd and stopping him because he isn't used to eating punches.
