I always thought Berto's power was overrated, but he did catch Ortiz with some solid shots he didn't see coming. Mayweather is much more accurate then Berto.

At the same time, I don't think Ortiz has the worse chin out there, but he's going to be taking a lot of clean, hard shots.

Floyd has been working on ripping it up on the inside during his sparring sessions, which means bodyshots. He also plans to plant his feet in this one.

Kill the body and the head will follow.

Ortiz doesn't exactly have a sturdy chin.

    Mayweather wins by TKO.

oh floyd could have easily stopped JMM. probably in round 1 or 2

did you watch the fight? he was just practicing his defense the whole time. he has good offense but he never used it.

as floyd said in the faceoff "im fin to destroy this kid {grin}"

He was boxing JMM. Had he stood his ground and pressed him like he did to Mosley I think JMM could have been in trouble. Besides that, Ortiz being an aggressive fighter might not work to his advantage. Sometimes if you don't want to get KOed its better to just box rather than use up energy by fighting aggressively.

          Is this thread serious?

Floyd can't even stop Malinaggi or Josie Harris.

I think he can and I won't be surprise if he did.

However, Floyd winning a dominant decision is more likely.

Ortiz is just not that good. I can't believe the hype he has gotten because of a F'ing win over Berto. It was Berto FFS's.

I actually think he will. I don't think Ortiz will be able to mentally handle all the leather Mayweather puts on him, and will have the towel thrown in.

For all those people mentioning how Floyd didn't KO Marquez, you don't want to try to recklessly force a KO against him unless you want to eat a bunch of counters. Look at what happened to manny.

Floyd's focus with Marquez was to pump his jab, he threw more jabs here than any of his recent bouts. It helped him utilize his superior range while requiring the least commitment, which makes him very difficult to counter.

Ortiz has a good chance to beat Floyd. Mayweather has been out way too long and his only true WW opposition in 5 years + was an inactive Mosley out of the ring for his largest stretch.
Victor is catching Floyd at the right time. Floyd will have trouble and at the least and loads more than most expect. May is older and not powerful as a 147 lb fighter. His best days are way behind.

I was discussing this yesterday with some friends.

Ortiz was rocked several times by L Peterson. Floyd is definitely going to catch him flush lot's of times. Victor won't see the punches coming and a TKO is very possible.

I'd even say it's very likely. If Victor fights aggresively as he says he will Floyd will have to fight fire w fire and boxing for 12 rounds may not be an option. He may TKO Ortiz.
