Damn shame this can't be remembered as a pretty good fight.

I'm not going to rail on Mares, because he fought a good fight, and like any fighter if he isn't being penalized for doing something he isn't going to stop. But Agbeko was completely, irrefutably, and unfairly screwed over. There's no telling how much an effect getting hit with 2 or 3 low blows at least each round did to him.

This was a pretty good fight that won't be allowed to be remembered as so because of a corrupt referee.

Immediate rematch. There has to be. This was too unfair.

Agreed. Nice fight that got ruined by Mares' repeated low blows and the ref who allowed them. Even with the fouls and horrible reffing, it was a razor close fight. There absolutley needs to be a rematch.

Because it wasn't a "pretty good fight" no fighter should be allowed to throw and land 30+ illegal blows penalty free! This was a got damn fix!!

Totally agree, Mares is gonna throw them if he's getting away with it (intentional or not) and i felt he won the fight BUT the Ref WAS A JOKE and we dont know how effected Kong was by those blows, if he hadnt taken them all night mabey he is a Beast down the stretch and lays Abner out with some of those Right Hands? Who knows...

Make the ****in Rematch and do it Right!

Donaire would KO Mares anyway. Both Agbeko and Mares seem game so lets do it again

For now tho it would be nice to see Abner Mares get some respect for winning this Super Six Tourney and Remaining Undefeated while facing these beasts and they are beasts, this has to be one of the best divisions in the sport top 3 at very worst!

Mares fought well but the fact reamains that those low blows effected Agebko's game.

Mares should have been DQ'd and an immediate rematch has to happen.

Uhmmm, he has been LOWBLOWING in every single fight, he knew he threw LOW, his corner even told him to stop In ROUND 4.

Infact, he is such a good blower that here he is on Sports Science showing how hard he can lowblow a dummy in the nuts.

Dont pretend that this is some accident, he trains for this because dude is a featherfisting COWARD who needs to lowblow to weaken his OPPONENTS.

Puto coward needs to be taken with Mora and nailed in the hot desert sun so these cowards cant breed anymore.

For 30 lowblows a DQ is a given! But Dan im thinking if the ref had done his job properly and put Mares in his place with a deduction early on we wouldnt have seen those next LOAD of lowblows u know..
