Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson (3-0) continued his quest toward heavyweight domination with a hard-fought 4-round unanimous decision victory over a resilient Charles Hackmann (0-1) at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma this past Friday. Ferguson came out swinging from the start, and busted up his opponent in the opening round, causing Hackmann to bleed profusely from his nose and mouth. Ferguson was looking to continue this pattern going into the second round, however Hackmann was able to connect with a series of looping right hands which had Ferguson visibly staggered and hurt, and seemingly ready to kiss the canvas. To this, the attendant crowd, seemingly made up largely of rednecks and Casino flies, sprung to their feet and proceeded to jeer and shout out with borderline racist comments toward their stunned circus monkey, and in support of their local whiteboy. Ferguson managed to clinch successfully, and thereby weather the storm so as to survive the round. By the third round, both fighters were visibly gassed, however it was Ferguson who was able to remain a little bit busier and more aggressive throughout the concluding rounds, in spite of the occasional Hackmann connection with a telegraphed looping right hand, thereby securing the victory in the fight, and moving him one step closer to a vaunted clash with heavyweight kingpin Wladimir Klitschko.
