You could be right, I don't know and can't make that leap in judgment because I don't know what Mares was thinking. I know that his trainer told him repeatedly to NOT go low or he would be deducted a point, so I don't think he was purposely hitting low to be honest.

I watched the fight twice, he did go low quite a few times but many of the shots that were low, were on the belt line and as you know fighters wear there trunks high on purpose.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I just think people in this place aren't very smart and jump to conclusions that have no idea about.

A rematch will do good for both of them, Abner and Joseph will have a chance to clear any negative aspects of the first fight.

If anyone thinks "low blow" Mares can beat Donaire, then I've got some prime real estate in the Bay area to show. PM me to check out that sweet real estate.

So deal with that. Yes, Mares is a nice young kid, and a good fighter, but he did himself no favors after the fight when he defended the ref's performance and claimed he never hit Agbeko low.
bs knockdown? wtf are you talking about, if a fighter goes down after a punch than its a KNOCKDOWN, even if he slipped... stfu, if it was another fighter u wouldnt be saying shi*!..

pay attention to what he said, he said that agbeko kept putting his head down whenever he would throw a punch, get a ***en clue ******.

That's just an excuse to me. He can make weight, he belongs in the division. You think Nonito at batam is bad look at Wlad and Vitali in the heavies when they outweigh their opponents by 30 lbs and have a 6 inch advantage. No excuses, if Mares wants to be the number 1 he has to get past Nonito. Nonito is the man right now because he's been more impressive. Mares needs to take it from them.

Not sure about that. He just called Mares out and said it will be his and golden boys fault if a fight doesn't happen. Balls in Mares court and if he doesn't fight him after the rematch it makes him look bad.
