The Showtime crew seemed to think Mares' low punches against Darchinyan were fair enough at the time, although they are telling a different story about that fight tonight.

in tonight's fight they were all unanimous in condemning the awful ref job and rightfully so.

Not saying he's honest. He was dirty as hell and this win is tainted. I was pissed off watching it. I just can't blame a kid for doing what he had to do in his first world title fight. The ref should have DQ'd him for throwing that many lowblows, but he didn't so **** the ref. And the "I never went low" comment was ridiculous for sure.
