Yeah, Zab never quits, and that was a low blow that put him down against Khan. Just like it was a headbutt that opened the cut over his eye that ended his fight with Clottey. The only person Zab's fooling is his mama. What a disgrace to the sport

I need to learn my lesson. I knew Zab didn't have it (mentally) but somehow I thought he was in a different place fornthis fight. I need to learn my lesson. I felt the same about Sam Peter. I knew better but still thought he had changed. You can't change the heart and you can't change the mind. You can come in fit, you can talk the talk but if you aren't mentally tough you will break.

Check my post history. I said clearly, "Zab's" boast before the fight were "WISHFUL" thinking and how many times were we going to hear...

"I'm in the best shape of my life"
"He's never been in with a fighter like me"
          "I'm rededicated"
          "I'm more mature, focused, etc"

As a big Zab fan who finally jumped ship after the Clottey fight, I know that Zab was NEVER nothing more than a SPEEDY, front runner , un disciplined, relied too much on physical talent and most of all, BENEFICIARY of being from NYC and the HYPE machine there.

It's not like this is the FIRST time we've seen this. We saw it in SPINKS 1, his awful performance against Rafael Pinaeda, Baldomir, heck he looked bAD against Ernest Johnson on the Jones Calzaghe undercard (I believe) and that fight was a total "set-up" fight against a guy who had NO power.

It's easy to beat on a man when he's down, true but I'm making the case that Zab was never really EVER a true elite level fighter to what his HYPE made him out to be.

His best performances were against Mickey Ward and Cory Spinks. Spinks swears he had weight issues but I'll give Zab credit. But Zab never beat an elite level opponent anyways.

Why not just say, "it was a good shot, I'm moving on and gonna try again".

Zab can "FRONT" for the audience all he wants. He's mentally and emotionally broken. I'd BET the house on that. He's not young any more. It didn't work out at welter-weight and moving back down it's NOT working out.

Sad like someone said here but maybe it's time to either get back on ESPN put on the headgear and 18oz because at best Zab's NOTHING but a gatekeeper.

Maybe he and Vivian Harris should square off in a battle of NYC's almost "was'es"
