I understand Dlh he won the first fight,not to mention he was the draw Trinidad di not have the same star power.

Srl never fought Hagler again because he was past prime already when he fought him,that was not a nintage Srl in that fight,which i scored a draw.

Why does Hagler need two fights to beat an inactive Ray Leonard? Hagler should never have allow the Sugar ray fight to be close or go to a decision.

both were past prime....

but an argument could be made that ray was a better at sticking to a game plan and was a more seasoned wiser ray.....

people talk about the long layoff ray had....

but he was in shape and studing fights and going to the gym even while in "retirement"....

marvin had been in back to back wars with mugabi and hearns....

and he took more than a year of after the mugabi fight before the fight with leonard....

they were both past their prime and both had ring rust....

but i think hagler had lost alot of speed and his relfexes werent as good....

ray only seemed like he had less stamina and even though he wasnt prime he still had great hand speed...

incredible fight notheless....

the stories from boht sides and the drama around it all is intersting...

also how they didnt give leonard a chance....

i like to watch this fight cause of the back and forth action....

but i cant watch the decision. it meant everything to hagler and u can tell he was crushed by it....

had ray lost it would have been a huge moral victory for him....
