    Peterson vs Matthysse

Let's leave Guerrero behind and complete the triangle...

These guys (along with Robert Guerrero and Devon Alexander) fall under the category of B class fighters. They're not elite, but they're far better than average. Matthysse and Peterson especially.

Often times, these B class, none elite fighters make the best, most competitive fights when they meet in the ring... Corrales/Castillo, Gatti/Ward, etc

Obviously, we're not gonna get that with this fight but these r obviously people we shouldn't overlook just becuz none of them will ever make it to top p4p

Anyway, the title is self explanatory...

Peterson, a good, but not great, boxer with decent speed, and respectable pop

Matthysse, commonly referred to as "Maidana, but with more skill"

Peterson got up from Ortiz's power (arguably a harder puncher than Matthysse, definitely a superior fighter)

Matthysse caught and hurt both Alexander and Judah late, and, like I said before, if he learned from those "losses" and turned up the heat against Peterson, there's no telling what he can do with his power...

Anyway, lets make some guesses here people...

And just for the sake of more views, Pacquiao vs Mayweather

I'll go against what most would say and say Peterson wins a hard decision in a great fight. He can easily hold his own when Matthysse gets close and has the skills to keep Matthysse off enough to win.

Why do people go on like all Lucas has is power? He is a very good pressure fighter that does a lot of subtle things.

He can box, he jabs his way in and cuts the ring off beautifully, he has an underrated defense, good head movement, a night tight guard & is the very definition of a bodysnatcher. He feints, he is always thinking in their and keeps his opponent guessing. Hes not some dumb ass pressure fighter who plods forward winging aimlessly whilst stood completely upright & happily lets a guy tee off on him.

He does exactly what he is supposed to and that is cut distance, kills the body, takes their legs and soul and brutally stops them.

Peterson is overrated at this stage, his inside game has only been exhibited against fighters who have no inside game. Tough kid, good in every area, pretty complete but he does nothing great.
