Was Foreman Let Go From HBO For Disagreeing With Merchant?

Hbo let Foreman go after the Mosley-Oscar 2 fight. Foreman called the judges on the bs win for Mosley. I remember that like it was yesterday. Foreman was like Oscar won this fight easily, I see a trillogy in the making. He was dissatisfied with the decision & daid so out loud. That was his last big fight analysist, if I'm not mistaken.

Hey man, I was thinking the same thing. I was just reading this post to see if anyone actually knew. The last time I remember seeing Foreman was at that Mosley vs De la hoya 2 fight. I remember him saying something was just not right about this and that he knows because he's been in the business too long. Merchant even tried to jump in and say it wasn't so but Foreman insisted there was some funny business going on. I've never looked into it but I bet that was the reason why. Everyone always says HBO commentators build up their fighters for the business side, so I can imagine HBO would take it the wrong way if one of them talked down against the sport like that.

I wouldn't doubt it. Emanual pisses me off because he allows them to say anything and even attack him at times... I've seen Manny give interviews after fights, and he is nowhere near as reserved as he appears to be on the HBO set... Could it be that Manny thinks his job would be in jeopardy if he speaks out against those biased bastards?

I know what you're talking about. I can't remember the exact fights, but I remember Manny making a point and Merchant disagreeing with him. Manny then stated why he made his point. Merchant disagreed in a "borderline belittling" way. Manny then laughed it off and said Merchant was right. End of conversation lol

I think his job would be in jeopardy. Or anyone else for that matter.
