We are talking post 40. Both of which, are amongst the most accomplished.

And of course you can. Have you never heard people rank a fighter for their career past the age of 40 before? Moore has been called 'the greatest career post 40 of all time' for years.

It's really not difficult to comprehend.

Otherwise you are going to end up with all kinds of strange results.

Foreman during the second half of his career never beat anyone special. He needed gifts to get past Stewart and Shultz. Moorer wasn't a very good hw and it should be pointed out that Moorer picked Foreman because he fought it was going to be a easy fight.

Hopkins didn't earn his shot at the lhw champ either, the last live lhw he had fought going into the Pascal fight was past prime Tarver. Pascal who is at best a b-level fighter took the Hopkins fight as a warm up for his rematch with Dawson.

lol, why are you doin this?

      Not anymore - I'm out

      p.s:
Before I go I would like to point out that the great Calzaghe ,post 35, beat reigning smw champ Kessler then moved up to lhw to beat the reigning lhw champion. That journeyman Ali on the other hand, post 35, was going life and death with Spinks types and dropping decisions to bums like Berbick

Quite sure I have already said why what you achieve past 35 as opposed to past 40 is quite marginly different.

        But, you knew that.

People need to get over how many fights the old timers had. Boxing isnt like that anynore its lame to use that as an argument.

Moore is a Top 15 ATG. Hopkins is a Top 60 ATG. Post 40 you can compare them, cant really argue that. Whether you like Hops or not.

Stop trolling. You say something dumb about Paul Williams in every thread I post in. Get over him.

Archie Moore is argubally a Top 10 ATG.

However, in terms of fighters older than 40, and their careers post 40, they are very comparable and Hopkins is very arguablly the greater fighter post 40.
If you gonna consider that then consider longer fights, terrible gloves for the giver and receiver, and terrible shoes. Try going 15 rounds with what is equivalent to a leather dress shoe boot. I don't think you should compare ANY fighter that boxed in different eras especially when the era in question is more than 20-30 years. Moore had his last fight which he won by TKO at age 47 or 51 depending which DOB you take as truth.

                Post 40 Moore's record is 29W - 3L - 19KO - 2D
                Bernard Hopkin's record is 7W - 3L- 0KO - 1D

You can't be serious comparing B-Hop to Archie Moore...B-Hop himself would be insulted.
