ppl dont understand this simple principle. it may be to much for most to grasp.Questions:
Would Khan be in the news now if he wasn't calling out Mayweather?
Would Vargas be in the news now if Mayweather didn't say Khan was ducking him?
Some of you cats can be so hyper-emotional and simultaneously daft about business.
They're both promoting. Calm the eff down.Comment

Floyd has a slew of potential opponents to face...obviously he gets his money regardless so its very smart for him to try and get his fighter a big name fighter!!!!
Just because Floyd said he'd fight Khan doesn't mean that Khan vs Vargas isn't a good move to pull for his Promotional company. Khan beats Vargas = money for Floyd and his fighter on a big stage.Comment

Ah yes, the famous ESPN Zone litmus test. If people don't freak out over you in an ESPN Zone, there is no way in hell Floyd will consider you. I heard Floyd makes all his potential opponents eat at an ESPN Zone, to see how people react.
Would Ortiz be able to enjoy a quite meal at an ESPN Zone, would JMM? Of course. Not that this is even remotely relevant.
And the thing people keep skating over is, the fact Khan Zab fight sold more gate than any Ortiz fight, ever, and Khan makes far more money than Ortiz.
And finally, the most important factor we keep conveniently forgetting is the fact, Khan would make May a TON OF CASH. The fight would be in the UK, as Floyd himself said it would be, IF he fought Khan. They would sell out Wembley. And Floyd would get the lions share of UK PPV.
So the excuse that Khan is not big enough is ridiculous, because this fight would EASILY ECLIPSE the Ortiz fight. Once you factor in the UK money, this fight would be HUGE. And only an idiot would make the argument, Floyd only cares about US money. No one gives a ***, where money comes from. A buck is a buck. And obviously Floyd believes this as well, as proven by his desire to fight in the UK.
I don't care if Floyd never fights Khan, well maybe I do a little. But what annoys me is to hear dumb and false excuses and justifications from people on the net.
What sweetscience said, about Khan first needing a win or two at WW, makes sense, but the rest is just ******.Last edited by Froghead99; 08-10-2011, 08:20 PM.Comment

Try reading a little, Floyd himself said, he was open to fight Khan, and GB said they expected it. And numerous articles have been written speculating this fight, far from nobody expects him to fight Khan.
And why is the word "expects" in quotation marks? Are you ******ed? Do you know what quotation marks are used for?
Please keep embarrassing yourself, it's amusing.
