Watching BHOP on ESPN, he said his best career win was Trinidad. Agree?

hopkins was fighting for a capacity crowd of streetbully, secondzout, and nasa000 at the blue horizon before he beat trinidad, a blown up welterweight cash cow at that time...he should give trinidad 20% tribute of every purse since that fight, because if it wasn't for trinidad, nobody would still know (or care) who hopkins is...

Trinidad was a WW. His goal was to face the true #1 P4P fighter in the world, Roy Jones. To get to Roy, Trinidad fought up through the ranks to make his case for a shot at the #1 spot. Hopkins beat him but Trinidad struggled against Vargas and had to get dirty. Trinidad was no jrMW let alone a MW.

Tarver was an opportunist. He's a guy who made a career run at the tail end of his career. Roy Jones was already at HW when Tarver started making noise. Roy Jones ******ly lost 26lbs of muscle in 6 weeks to make the weight at 175lbs and still beat Tarver. He should have retired as he had nothing else left to prove.

Tarver goaded him into a rematch and made history. But Tarver knows like all real fans know that Jones had lost a step. Jones has lost quite a few steps. Proof was that he lost to men who would have had absolutely no chance 2 or 3 years prior. Jones has been getting knocked out left and right because he refuses to admit that he didn't have it anymore after his match with Ruiz.

Yes Tarver was the first to defeat Jones, but he will go down in history as about as good as Buster Douglas or Oliver McCall. He never went on to be great and rode those wins over an old Jones as his ENTIRE legacy.

Pasacal ... now he's a young hungry champion. He beat the #1 ltHW king Chad Dawson. He also got a win over BHOP. Hopkins defeating him not only showed that the man still has skills, but he's aged well, preserved his body and uses ring generalship and experience to outfox and outhustle much younger men.

For years Hopkins was a bum IMO. He defended one belt in one division for the majority of his career. He avoided all other champions and his loss with Jones in 1993 was the best he could say he faced. Trinidad changed that, but even after that Hopkins let the momentum his career picked up fade away.

The true moment when Hopkins stepped up his career and made a power move for a great legacy was when he fought Jermain Taylor. Win or lose the man finally stepped up to some real MW competition. Then he went on to beat Pavlik and Tarver.

Everything else was nice but Hopkins found the willingness to be great when he fought Taylor, not Trinidad or DLH.

Hopkins best win was over a prime ltHW Pascal when Pascal was coming off a huge win over Dawson.

The man is getting better as he ages not because he is improving as a fighter, but because he's finally become willing to fight big challenges and other champions.
LOL. ummm thats where i stopped reading. Hopkins was a middleweight Champion getting ducked by all the other champions and was going through promoting fueds with his promoters, had to be his own promoter so he wouldn't get the big fights he wanted until the middleweight tournament. Get your facts straight. Hopkins fought many opponents who were "Game". He beat Allen, Echols, Johnson (just to name a couple) during his stretch before Tito who were all dangerous top 10 middleweights. destroyed a career (joe lipsy) who was suppose to be a Top prospect. Yea he lost to Roy Jones in his 1st title match, but roy Jones ducked and dodged him for the next decade. If you think Roy Jones looked SUPERIOR to Hopkins in that fight then you didn't watch it. It was a boring fight. Both fighters had there spots here and there but its wasn't a fight where you would stand up and say "JONES WHOOPED HIS ASS" he beat him convincingly but it wasn't GREAT like some make it. Both fighters were green at the time and Hopkins was Greener. They both Learned a lot from that fight.
You had middleweight champs like Joppy fighting a 50 yr old duran. and you want to get on Hopkins for getting ducked? lol

Look at my default picture. Look at all those damn belts. Can you tell me one fighter in history who collected all the belts (wba, wbc, ibf, wbo) in their divison one by one who is a bum??? Nope!!! Hopkins is the man and an atg

            He accepted defeat.

Eastmans did alot more at middleweight than Tito. Tito's only wins came against guys Eastman beat. Eastman also has a good win over Mccracken.
Eastman fought his career at MW so obviously he fought more MW's. but who did he beat? Robert McCracken, seriously that's the big name on his resume that puts him at the same level as Tito? Pfffff

I agree, I think at 160 that the natural bigger Hopkins would beat Hearns.

No way shape or form do I think Hopkins is greater than Hearns, though.
Hopkins is greater IMO. Hearns is a Great fighter but the man had weak legs. His chin wasn't his problem it was his legs. as soon as his legs ran out you could knock him out. Close fight til the 6 round then Hearns starts tiring and Hopkins breaks him down in the 11th with a TKO. Just my prediction.

why is it that its always some greater excuse when hopkins legitly loses. Two green cats fighting, but Hopkins is Greener (with a capital g no less) because he lost...lmao
