Ortiz could retire after this fight and live a very nice life not bad for a 24 yearold kid who pulled himself out of the gutter,****m was right in everything he said.

When I see Ortiz and his brother together, I kinda get choked up. Still.

I hope that they stay close and are always there for one another. Victor, Dios te bendiga.

That noise... was it from her rewinding the film in an analog camera? Haven't heard that in 10 years probably, lol.

Ortiz seems to a very good guy. His story is heard far to often in the sport of boxing, I guess it takes having these type of cards delt to you to rise to the top of such a harsh and taxing sport. I wish ortiz all the luck in the world., but I do want Mayweather to whipp that ass come fight night.

He still quit like a biatch against Maidana and there is no excuse for that. All these stories about him being piss poor and being homeless and everything was a tragic story. But the way he gave up against Maidana shows that this man is mentally weak and he even gave up against Lamont Peterson.

What type of dude gives up and then the next week try and act like it was always your dream to be the best. The kid has no heart period and his win against Berto proves nothing.

Your comment about the IQ of some of the posters is probably very accurate, I've mentioned it often myself, in different words, but PLEASE....don't include me.I think that from a trainer of Richardson's perceived high standard, and his presumed high intelligence, it was at the least, a very silly thing to say.

As we can see, the vast majority of posters are either making excuses for Richardson, saying he didn't mean that his fighter should not go out and win, etc. or else saying that all the guy has to do is show up and even if KO'd in the 1st, will get his big cheque anyway.

it may be the fault of whosoever composed the heading, but the STRONG impression given, is that the goal of his fighter was just to get to that position where he could get a good payday, never mind the outcome ................. All in all a Silly comment.

But I've never thought much of Richardson either as a trainer nor as a "brain", anyway. As being a nice guy, he probably is.

I believe that Naazim was saying that Ortiz has won AS A PERSON. As someone who could have been a statistic, but is now fighting the best boxer in the world on the biggest possible stage is a huge accomplishment in itself.

I get Naaz' sentiment. Poorly worded.
