What if I'm judging a fight that has two black fighters in it? Is it possible for me to be objective then. Since you are the final authority on objectivity please let me know when and if I have permission to judge a fight. Wink wink. Its all good buddy. Its just a boxing debate.

Judging a fight with 2 black fighters? If you are capable of judging a fight to begin with, race and color won't be an issue. There is a huge factor when it comes to social impact and boxing observations. It is TOO easy to spot when a fighter supports another fighter because of being the same race.Last edited by richardt; 08-11-2011, 04:04 PM.Comment

Example: Puerto Ricans support Puerto Rican fighters. Example: They do NOT like it when a PR goes against a PR. If a PR goes against any other fighter, the favor the PR. However, if a Mexican goes against a Black fighter, they support the Mexican because he is Hispanic. Those are the facts. NONE of the fans in this case can be unbiased.Last edited by richardt; 08-11-2011, 04:04 PM.Comment

If a Puerto Rican fights a Mexican or either of these guys fights a Black fighter, the fans in this scenario as a whole CANNOT be relied on for UNBIASED observations, period. If an Asian, White, and Indian fans gather as a whole to watch those 3 races fight, as a WHOLE they can be relied upon for unbiased observations. This is obvious to anyone who has followed boxing, especially for many years.Last edited by richardt; 08-11-2011, 04:06 PM.Comment

And the supporting of a fighter because of the race being like theirs is either bias or racism. A SMALL percent of people favor a fighter because of who they are or how they fight. I know a Filipino who doesn't like Pac. I know a White guy who doesn't care for the style of most White fighters and only one out of ten on average he supports.Comment

I spoke with a TOP white lightheavyweight in a conversation with a Puerto Rican fan and finally the white guy asked - How come you never say anything good about any fighter unless he is Puerto Rican and the Puerto Rican said "Because, I only support Puerto Rican fighters". Both me and the top lightheavyweight were shocked cause we support guys based on a combination of things none of which has to do with race or color.Last edited by richardt; 08-11-2011, 04:14 PM.Comment

But the irony to all this is that a Puerto Rican with light skin will support a black Puerto Rican every time against a light skinned Mexican......that is until the light skinned Mexican fights any other race and then they are big fans of his....go figure. So it is not always about color. These are patterns I have seen for many years.Comment

Okay RaceMan. I already congratulated you on the discovery of your new power. Its clear that you are obsessed with this issue and that it is one of your main reasons for following the sport. I'll have a racial debate somewhere other than a boxing forum if you don't mind. And don't forget that Broner defeated De Leon in a unanimous decision. Bias and racism and all. The fact are the facts. Up up and away. And the supporting of a fighter because of the race being like theirs is either bias or racism. Finally, these are not opinions, they are factual and based on a group of 60 people who over 10 years had discussions, shared pictures, made friends, made enemies, but spoke their mind and the outcome was obvious over time.Comment

Once again, you torched yourself which is pretty easy to do. When you say unanimous, lets not forget corrupt judges like the one who had Broner ahead 99 to 91. Now go give that judge the blow job you have been wanting to do. Just remember being a black man who supports black fighters does not allow you the objectivity to judge a fight with a black fighter involved....it doesn't take rocket science to figure that out.Last edited by richardt; 08-11-2011, 04:27 PM.Comment
