Ponce De Leon did not land more punches per round than Broner. He did however land less than a handful more punches overall. Like I already said though, a lot of the shots scored for Ponce were borderline shots and shots that were partially blocked. Ponce put up a decent fight but he was running and not fighting in the aggressive style that he is known for. Maybe he has added a new angle to his game but it looked to me like he was being hesitant. It could have been the size but I tend to think (as De Leon said in the video you posted) that it was the counter left hook and straight right that Broner was catching him with that made him more hesitant than normal.

its simple. ponce didn't like the way broners power felt & decided to run & pitter patter for the rest of the fight.....Ponce De Leon did not land more punches per round than Broner. FYI - The poll was based on who thought who won. I already knew the races and color of the participants. And I knew before the poll who would pick Broner. Doesn't change the fact that Ponce was robbed and it is incompetent or corrupt judges like those in that fight that hurt boxing. At least unbiased people know Ponce won. You are dismissed, literally and figuratively.Comment

Unbiased people like the all Mexican audience? Unbiased people like the ones that hate Broner because he brushes his hair in the ring and dances after the fight? Corrupt and incompetent judges are the ones that would let audiences reaction score the fight for them. Corrupt and incompetent judges are the ones that score a fight based on how they personally feel about a fighters out of the ring antics. Broner landed more of the clean hard punches and clearly landed shots. Thats what counts for a win or loss. Not what a bunch empty words and protestations that lack any kind of analysis from forum warriors like yourself. If he was robbed give one good reason why I should change my view on the fight based on what actually happened in the fight. I have made my points about why I feel Broner won that fight fair and square and all you've done is drop catch phrases and bring up phantom statistics from internet polls about other peoples opinions. Speak for yourself bro. Let your own ability to reason be your points. You don't have any points thats why you keep saying juvenile things like "You've been dismissed". Who talks like that? Oops. I meant to say writes like that. Because I know you're going to pick apart my words. Grow up dude. Really.FYI - The poll was based on who thought who won. I think it is a HILARIOUS how some people try to make it as if Ponce De Leon DOMINATED that entire fight with Broner
it was a close fight, it wasn't BLATANT ROBBERY like the Erislandy Lara vs Paul Williams fight...
when Broner let his hands go and initiated the action, he was in control of that fight, Ponce wasn't doing any damage, he was just sneaking in punches and moving
I call it like I see it, no bias BULL****, I think some people scream robbery for "OTHER REASONS" and they see what they want to see at times
lol people still hate Broner because of that fight? hahaha Move On, I watched most of Oscar De La Hoya, he was the KING of Controversial Wins so lets not pretend like Robberies is something new...and IMO this fight wasn't even a Robbery, it was a close fightLast edited by sicko; 08-11-2011, 01:07 PM.Comment

I agree to a certain degree. I don't think that it was a close fight. I think that Broner let it be more competitive than it needed in a way by not letting his hands go in certain rounds. But all of the eye catching shots were landed by Broner and none by De Leon.I think it is a HILARIOUS how some people try to make it as if Ponce De Leon DOMINATED that entire fight with Broner

PEP - you are about as clueless as it gets. I'll school you. You are black and support black fighters. That disqualifies you from having ANY OBJECTIVE balance in judging a fight that includes a black fighter. I knew you were black to begin with. I can tell when another race supports their fighter to the point of cloudy judgement. I see through you like a plate of glass. You are no different from other bias observers. You really are naive and new to boxing if you can't see the bias in you and others and corruption. If ignorance is bliss, you are on cloud 9.Comment

Just like I said, you have no points. So you use race as your backdoor out of the debate. You'll school me huh?PEP - you are about as clueless as it gets. I'll school you. Another snide remark... Like a plate of glass?
