as long as top rank has better plans for donaire than rematching darchinyan, it's all good. donaire wants to unify the 118 titles and he can't achieve that fighting vic which he already beat anyway so there's nothing to prove for that fight. and besides there are better fights he can take at bantam other than darchinyan.

My first choice for Donaire would be Moreno, then the winner of the bantam tourney, then Kameda then probably Morel, then Darchinyan might get a look if for some reason all of those fighters couldn't make that date.
Who do you want Donaire to fight?

The fact is Donaire won convincingly.
Darchinyan is a step backwards.
he caught Vic in a fight where BOTH men were giving and getting as good as the next ONCE AGAIN stop revising history.
and most of you nuthuggers do realize Nonito is taking a lesser opponent first before going after Mares/Agbeko right?

1. he is the truth. Kid is skilled and while people may see Montiel doing well in the 2nd IMO Nonito was setting him up for that shot. That's physical ability AND the smarts to make it happen...not very many fighters can do that.
2. his fans IMO are looking for the next "idol" so they IMO try too hard to make him into something he isn't yet, a legend or an all timer. Let the man have his career first then let's assess.
They have pretty much decided its a foregone conclusion that he beats everyone @ 118 by KO within 5 rounds
and have already decided he is king of 126 without even fighting @ 126. Isn't this a little too fanboyish? Really? I mean, that's why we fight the fights right?
but the kid is ultra talented we just need to see this played out

Top Rank is garbage. They just steal money from fans. Arum's an almost dead Zionist so he does'nt care about the sport. He just wants to cash out. Golden Boy is the future.

This is why i laugh when i see uninformed 'wannabe' boxing fans talking about ducking when it comes to fighters who supposely dont want to face fighters from Top rank.
I would love to see the rematch but I think both careers benefit more if they move on rather than face each other.
Darchinyan has huge paydays in Marquez (a fight Shaw has been wanting to make for the longest) and also against his long time rival Fernando Montiel. Those are bigger paydays, bigger money fights, and actually better fights than Vic vs Nonito II.
Donaire on the other hand, career benefits more if he faces Mares vs Agbecko winner, then moves up in pursuit of the big names in Lopez and Gamboa.
Both are up in age, so I think its more money and legacy at this point than trying to repeat a great fight from 4 years ago.
Just my opinion tho........
