Comments Thread For: Hopkins: Any Adversity and Chad Dawson Bails Out

WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KOs), 45, believes that he has his much younger opponent, Chad Dawson (30-1-1, 17KOs), already figured out. The clash on October 15 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Hopkins made history by becoming the oldest man to win a major world title, when he won a twelve round decision over Jean Pascal in May. Pascal won an eleven round technical decision over Dawson in 2010.

going to have to disagree with the great B-Hop on this one

Dawson was dropped against Adamek and he got up and battled, he was wobbled by Glen Johnson an few times in their first fight and he didn't "Bail" and when he was down big against Pascal, he started battling back

the problem with Dawson is just that he stop letting his hands go sometimes especially when he feels like he is in control of the fight or has a pretty good lead, I totally disagree about him "BAILING OUT" though just to be fair

Dawson always seemed a bit emotionally unstable to me or a lil weak. I think Hopkins should go extra hard on him Tito style. Get him pissed off so he fights with emotion and makes mistakes. No Mr. Nice Guy leading up to the fight.

Just like Emanuel Steward said if Pascal would have let his hands go for 12 rds he probably would have won the rematch when he did punch he put B-Hop on the defensive when took breaks B-Hop schooled him if Chad fights coming forward the whole fight backing B-Hop up throwing 3-4-5 punch combos I think He'll win but if the passive non aggressive Dawson shows up B-hop is going to humiliate him
