If u follow Chavez's career, watching all his fights, u can clearly see Chavez wasnt at his best against Randal. Randal totally deserved the win in their rematch, but Chavez couldnt fight for 3 minutes like he could a couple of years before they fought.

Oscar beat the crap out of a 33 year old JCC. What version of JCC would have beaten the 1996 DLH? The one against Taylor?, the one against Roger? The one against Whitaker? Which one. Please, any unbiased fan, answer this question. Not that the answer matters, it's just fantasy talk now, they fought twice and two TKO's happened. Of course, a younger JCC would have fought better, but beat that version of Oscar? No. I don't think so.

Chavez may of been 33, but against Oscar that was his 102nd fight.
Id say Chavez was at his best at LW and SFW. I think there was a good chance Chavez in his prime breaks down Oscar late in the fight. But Oscar had everything it took to always beat Chavez.

my roomate, like many other think that Chavez would have won if he was younger....not the case!! DLH was bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter. DLH whips him at any stage in Chavez career. A young passionate DLH could have been an ATG....he had it all bck then. Killer jab, blinding speed, good defense....just the whole package. He makes SR quit in any stage of his career!! Oscar was the whole package that sc****d a SD against Quartey, a past prime Whitaker and ran away all night against Tito.

Oscar was known for tiring late in his fights, and thats where i think Chavez would break him.

hope you aint implying he was past his prime ...randall was erik morales's raheem..he was just a bad style match up.....the best version of randall would always beat the best version of chavez.....
