If u follow Chavez's career, watching all his fights, u can clearly see Chavez wasnt at his best against Randal. Randal totally deserved the win in their rematch, but Chavez couldnt fight for 3 minutes like he could a couple of years before they fought.

Please, any unbiased fan, answer this question. Not that the answer matters, it's just fantasy talk now, they fought twice and two TKO's happened. Of course, a younger JCC would have fought better, but beat that version of Oscar? No. I don't think so.
Chavez may of been 33, but against Oscar that was his 102nd fight.
Id say Chavez was at his best at LW and SFW. I think there was a good chance Chavez in his prime breaks down Oscar late in the fight. But Oscar had everything it took to always beat Chavez.

A young passionate DLH could have been an ATG....he had it all bck then. Killer jab, blinding speed, good defense....just the whole package. He makes SR quit in any stage of his career!! JULIO CESAR DE LA HOYA
Oscar was the whole package that sc****d a SD against Quartey, a past prime Whitaker and ran away all night against Tito.

Oscar was known for tiring late in his fights, and thats where i think Chavez would break him.
