Truth is 150 is perfect middle ground for both fighters. Cotto is NOT a 154lb fighter. He may have won a few fights at 54 but he is a welterweight. Margarito on the other hand is a 5'11 fighter who will benefit from the fight being at 154 moreso that Cotto will. Considering Margarito's advantage with plaster wraps in the first fight, he simply does not need another advantage against Cotto in the 2nd fight.


150 or 154... Cotto will win. I would rather it be at 54 so the Resto-loving Margarito fans, can't cry foul when Margarito gets beat 119-110.

The problem is Cotto is small for 154. I dont like catch weight but I will give this a pass because Margarito is a cheater that dosent deserve another payday. He should be banned for life. I have a feeling Stewart is gonna have Cotto using speed to win this. Miguel looks sluggish @154 and Margarito will be very strong at that weight. 150 is ideal for Miguel and will have him faster overall while Margarita wont be as strong. Reports have it in the PR news that Cotto is looking slim and fit already (around 160). Again I dont like catch weights but Manny Pac gets to request them on a regular basis. This is Cotto's first request.
