I once made a thread telling people to bet on Zuri Lawrence over Albert Sosnowski at 10-1 odds.
I won $1000 on that fight off a $100 bet but I didn't make a thread big upping myself afterward.
I've thought about doing something similar to that Dwyer guy as my picks put his to shame but I have come to realize that people who post here are not really bettors and the advice would be unappreciated by 99 percent of posters.
When you are right maybe 10 people respond with half saying "big deal I knew it would happen too (no money on it)
When you are wrong 100 people reply to laugh at you and call you an idiot.Comment

C'mon man, seriously?
And just a little friendly suggestion, if you want more traffic on your site you should try not making it ****ing impossible to figure out what is going on.Comment

I used to make threads encouraging people to make smart bets on live underdogs but nobody took them seriously so they stopped.

I was also at that Sosnowski fight with the guys from StarBoxing. They werent happy to say the least.
They had brought Sosnowski over from Poland and he was like 41-1 or something and they were very excited about him, and then I went with them to go see him train and Kevin Rooney Jr and the starboxing Matchmaker were just stunned at his awfulness lol.
And also johnm, if I'm an attention whore for my post what does that make him? Why are you complimenting him and thrashing me? pretty hypocritical don't cha think. (Nothing against you Hitman, I dont think you did anything wrong. but if Johnm has any sense at all and actually sticks by his own logic, you're in for a thrashing)Comment

You want friendly suggestions? If you want people to take you seriously, put your opinions out before the fight.Comment

I'm talking to a guy that showed up after the fight was OVER to declare that he picked the winner.
I'm talking to a guy that logs into SBR to to ask everyone's opinion on fights, before he makes his decision (that's right, bitch, I read that site, too).
I'm talking to a guy that needs everyone else's opinion, before giving his own opinion. And even then, he waits until after the fight is over, to announce that he's a winner.
I'm talking to a guy who picked Katsidis over Guerrero, Williams over Martinez, Pascal over Hopkins, Maidana by "KO within 6 rounds" over Morales. Then brags about how he's never wrong.
You, however, are talking to a guy who has over 1k in a paypal account, that was donated by OTHER people, as a show of gratitude for following picks that he gave out (not even counting the money I have spread out on sportsbooks).
Also, a guy who has his own site (paid for by the lovely people who coat tail my boxing picks).
You should DREAM to have such success. "Call me Sunday.. I'll give ya Saturday's winners". Monday morning QB'ing loser.

I get some right. I get some wrong. But one thing's for certain. I have them posted BEFORE the fight starts. Damn shame you can't say the same.

EXACTLY. I've made like 4 blatantly wrong predictions over the years and they are always brought back up. NEVER ONCE has anyone brought up the many many correct picks Ive made.

Nice job trying to make things up, though.
I do like that you ignored his ENTIRE post, and concentrated on the very last sentence. LOL.Comment

I usually don't like talking about what I bet but I usually don't bring up what I win either~
Although I did make my intentions known on Wlad-Haye and then some subsequent stuff I ended up doing because of that.Comment

Surprising he was that big of an underdog. He has shown alot of potential in the past and Coleman hasn't really shown anything special.
Great fight though for FNF, especially with the added drama.Comment

Also, I can't be 100% certain.. but I believe that Hitman was the one telling people to bet Ola Afolabi at something around +1100 vs. Enzo Mac...... *GASP* BEFORE the fight.
I remember someone here had him. Believe it was Hitman. But again, can't be certain.Comment
