I understand that, but that's not all that determines who is a better fighter. Pacquiao is simply a better fighter, and has proven so.

If Richardson had said better boxer, I'd agree. He said better fighter, and that's simply not true.

Pac is the better fighter. Marquez only has the style that always gives Pac troubles but still able to beat him twice. Pac will have an easier time to beat Floyd than Marquez. Floyd sytle of figjting is far Marquez style. Floyd will not win by pot shotting Pac then run.

Marquez being a better boxer than Pacquiao is common knowledge unless you are Hugh Grant or a complete idiot. Pac is an awesome fighter but part of what makes him awesome is that he is so physically gifted. He can afford to make mistakes with his footwork because hes so quick just like he can afford to take a clean shot because he has a great chin and his handspeed helps him tremendously but these are all physical gifts that make him great because as far as boxing IQ or actual boxing ability he is behind Marquez.

Marquez has mastered his craft to the point where he rarely, rarely makes a mistake. He always throws punches with perfect technique, with perfect rotation of his hips to get as much torque out of the shot. He throws crisp accurate combinations with perfect form. Pac throws a million punches and puts together combinations as well and has awesome power but he is not as good technically as Marquez is and that cant be debated. Pac makes many, many mistakes but he doesnt pay for them because hes fast, has a great chin, doesnt tire and hits hard.

I understand what Richardson meant to say, he probably meant to say that Marquez is a better boxer than Pac just based on pure boxing skills.

aside from mayweather jmm is the most sceintific fighter in boxing, when they were the same size pac wasnt able to beat jmm, punch for punch jmm outlanded pac by significant margins in both fights especially the second.pac was able to knockdown jmm 4 times early but all that did was wake up jmm as he won most of the rounds in both fights even officially. pac is a brawler with great physical attributes hes very much a natural welterweight he grew a little late into the class but thats definitley the advantage for pac, over jmm if they were truly the same size jmm would beat pacs ass agin, because pac hasnt really gotten any better hes gotten bigger, but pac is the same thing over and over flicking rt jab and left hand over and over again , pac has no punch variety.he gets hit alot too,pac wins fights with power and a great chin, a sceintific fighter he is not hes actually very crude people think because hes fast thats automatically "skills" or boxing ability " its not .hes fast and thats how he gets away with all the flaws he has. pac does great with brawlers but as mosley demostrated pacs effectivness is easily cut in half with somebody with boxing skills. pac really needs to step up and fight top guys this beating up on old farts ,bums and no-hopers is an insult to fans whom know better.

Pacman really doesn't have great boxing skills.....

..compared to other boxers, but what he has that other boxers don't is the ability to get the job done whenever he enters the ring....

JMM is the better technical boxer but Pac is very talented and his physical advantages (agility, speed, footwork) allow him to break guys to pieces. I think at this juncture, the weight, the advancement in Pac's boxing ability, and Pac's stamina will all allow Pac to put it on JMM this time.

JMM has been at the top of his game technically speaking for a while now while Pac has reached a peak so to speak in the last few years. The Pac that JMM fought last time will have a few new tricks up his sleeve while JMM will have the same stuff as the last time they fought.
