i think marquez is a good fighter but he ain't better than pacquiao or smarter, he just has the style that can give pac a lot of trouble. I think pacquiao is way better both mentally and physically, even with the difficult style of marquez he still manage to make it that close or he even won it in the judges eyes so i give him credit for that. given his style is tailor made against marquez.

Skillwise I'll always give JMM the advantage, but over-all pac is the better fighter relying on his physical attributes and his experience to wear down his opponent. Also, JMM's chin doesn't seem to be up to the task of being a fighter as he can't seem to stay off his ass in a fight.

No offense to Richardson, but there is literally no grounds to say Marquez is a better fighter than Pacquiao. Better boxer, smarter, technically proficient, all that, but he is not a better fighter.

At the expense of not throwing back. Mosley just showed things about Pacquiao we knew going in, that he can't cut off the ring and he isn't a true pressure fighter, which people mistake him as.

I think boxing fans underestimate how much Pacquiao's style depends on his opponent throwing too. Mosley kept Pacquiao from looking great, but at the expense of having no chance to win.

Next to Mayweather, Marquez is probably the most skilled fighter out there. Naz is right when he says JMM is more talented than Manny. Pacquiao is simply physically gifted (depending on who you ask, its artificially enhanced) and if Marquez where a healthy welterweight, he'd give Manny another technical lesson.

Marquez does have a higher ring IQ than Pacquiao. How can anyone even debate this?

we've all seen how 1 dimensional Pacquiao used to be and after a decade of training... Roach has finally managed to teach him to box a lil in the last couple years.

while Marquez can do almost everything. He can lead,he can counter punch, he can fight on the outside, he can fight on the inside, he can go to war with you and stop you, or just simply give you a boxing lesson

Is Marquez greater than Pacquiao? No

Is he a better boxer? with out question he's only second to Mayweather.
