Last time Marg fought at 150 he made it fine without a problem. And, his body didn't look drained or weakened at all.

Cotto last 2 fights has been at 154.

Why is everybody acting like the 150 would be in Cotto advantage?
    -.-

Nice try man but Marg looked like a ****ing meth head with those veins bulging out of every part of his body. You don't gain 17 pounds in one night and not say you are drained. Maybe it didn't have much affect I dont think he threw more than 70 punches which is usually his slowest round not busiest.

If Cotto is making these demands then he's practically admitted defeat. Which is sad because he has a great chance in winning this fight.

Yep, and the low'ish (?) output may have had something to do with the way he was getting tattooed. I might be wrong, but I saw nothing to indicate that he was drained?

Catchweight Cotto has a nice ring to it.

Seriously, this is freaking funny. I remember when the first little hint of Pac asking for a catchweight and Cotto fanatics jumped on it like starving **** on some cheese.

this is one of those fights where again both guys could end their careers but if I had to say who is at a greater risk I would choose Margarito hands down. Coming off a brutal beating, F'd up eye, very long break, thats a lot of ???????, you know. If he was fighting a lighter touch maybe no problem but Cotto is gonna touch him up and especially on that right side where the eye was damaged. Margarito is human, he's gonna be very aware that he needs to limit damage to that eye so now he opens up his body and many other shots that he normally doesnt have to think about. I see him getting brutalized but this is boxing ya never know.

you know better, 17 lb weight gain between weigh in and fight is clear indication that he was pushed to the limit, not that fighters cant do it but thats pushin it son.

Why would a guy who comes in the fights at 170+ want a catch weight? We all know that he's a big guy, and Cotto is a small guy. So of course a catch weight would benefit Cotto. He can still make 147. Can't say the same about Margarito.

If Pac didn't ruin his chin, Margo will probably probably take Cotto's punches better at the hire weight. I expect Cotto to box a lot in this fight. So of course a catch weight would be in his favor. It could possibly slow him down.

Of course, we don't know for sure if Cotto's actually asking for this so I won't jump to conclusions. But if he is, he's clearly being a ***** and doesnt have much confidence in a victory.

What makes you think that Cotto can still make 147? Is that just a guess or is there any substance behind that comment?
