That means everyone in Boxing has skills, or otherwise they wouldnt be here.

So everyfighter could claim "Skills pay the bills moto?"

and in other fields, there are tons of CEO's/VP's hell even Presidents of Countries (Bush) who have no skills, they rode to the top by either being born in the right family or stabbing people in the back and taking credit for their work.

Take hackers for example, there are dudes out there who are smarter than all the top Security consultants for FBI/CIA, but these hackers are still broke despite being more skilled.

Andre Berto isnt that skilled, yet he makes more money than skilled Boxers because of who his promoter/advisor blackmails/knows.

I just feel this phrase is wack, just because you have skills doesnt mean you are going to get paid for them, or be successful.

Not really. The bottomline is entertainment. Ivan calderon has been the most skilled fighter in boxing for years aside from maybe floyd. And yet how many times has his fights been aired??? Compared to guys like madaina and katsidis who will continue to get tv coverage and title shots no matter how many fights they lose because fans pay to watch entertaining fighters.

You can be the most skilled person in the world but if you sitting on your couch you will be broke and poor.

Skills dont pay for ****. You know what pay's the bills? Having a job and dedication.

"Sir, you are 3 months late on your mortgage"
"Well, let me pay with my skills, cuz you know, Skills pay the bills"

There are alot of ****** mofo's who HAVE no skills but are still millionaires and rich, why? They were born into it, got lucky, married into it. Look at Fortune 500 and the number of idiots working there, they have no skills.

Why are so many people having this phrase in their signature? Its the dumbest phrase ever invented,

SKILLS DONT PAY BILLS, Money pay's the bills. and you get money from hard work.

How many skilled people are broke and homeless? I guess their bank doesn't take "Skills" as payment.

To hold a job and make money you need the skills to do the job. Duh.

I think this thread has backfired on Medved.

LOL, I'll bet 42K that Guerrero works Maidana over.

Another phrase used all the time that I can't stand is:
                      "It is what it is"
