Robert Guerrero...A Man on a Mission?...or Moving up to fast?

I believe The Ghost is a man on a mission. If he can beat Maidana better than Khan then he deserves to be ranked higher than the Brit on the P4P list. This will be a good gauge to see who is better, Khan or Guerrero. Maidana is the most dangerous puncher and will be the toughest test yet to face Guerrero. I give The Ghost big props for taking this fight with no tune up at Jr. Welterweight. So if he passes with flying colors then there is no doubt that he is one of the best fighters in boxing. This fight is by far the best one of the summer.

A man on a mission. I believe he's ready. My money is on The Ghost ****ing Maidana up, maybe even stopping him. then people will really take notice.

Maidana is on a mission to prove he is the real deal after his atrocious showing against Morales.

he may be but he can't fix his flows overnight. Guerrerro has the height and reach and a great jab to box his ears off.

Guerrero is a weird fighter. He's had some amazingly shocking performances in the past where he doesn't even look a top ten rated fighter, and then he's had a few where he turned in some terrific performances in which he looks a completely different fighter. He's incredibly inconsistent, but the guy that I saw pummel Katsidis a few months back in someone that I'd favour against Maidana.

I don't think he was mentally all in when his wife was going through her cancer treatment. Now that she's better, I think he's 100% dedicated to the game.

I think Maidana is a decent step up from Katsidis.

              And at a new weight.

Last time he fought at 138 he got knockdown and rocked by Casa late.

              Could be interesting.

I tend to agree with this. It couldn't have been good for his mental state to have his wife fighting with cancer.

Still, I'm curious to see how his power transfers up to the junior welterweight division.

Again what power are people talking about? Guerrero only has one big knockout win over Litzau.

I like the Ghost and think he probably should win against Maidana but you can't go to far with that because Maidana is a tough guy and if he can get inside on the Ghost, Guerrero will be in a world of trouble. Plus Guerrero is very much used to being the bigger guy, it is not like he is small at 140 (or should cause much issue in his ability to do work from the outside against Maidana) but it will be an adjustment for him.

I thought Guerrero was the best 135 pounder but even there a guy like Rios could have got the better of him, now Maidana and Rios are different but I do think both would be trying to do similar things.

It is an interesting fight looking forward to it, I always liked the Ghost so I hope he can pull it out.
