You would know just like me, if you would live here, that Bute isn't scared to fight a top fighter. Why ? cause he wants that big fight ! He needs those fights. His team is looking for a big fight. It's that simple. Remember that Bute was not, at first, invited in that Super 6 tournament. They said that they forgot him ! What a lame excuse ! Also, too bad Pavlik is acting like he does, Bute has nothing to do with that, and he would never do such a thing. About Kessler, all i know is that Bute really wants to fight him and there's always something going wrong. Finally, when Kessler will be in the ring with Bute, i will stop saying that he's scared of losing to a faster and technically better fighter.
Listen. Bute is the least proved of the champs, so refusing to travel to fight (and do not mention his holiday vs Mendy in his country of origin) is as saying, that you're not interested.

He might not be afraid to fight anybody - you wouldn't be in the boxing game if you were - but Butes problem as I - biased - see it, is that he know, that he is not good enough to beat the best out there and thus avoids them in order to collect paydays against the lesser competition. There is nothing wrong in that - I wouldn't fight a lion if I could keep fighting chickens - but to listening to him keep saying, that he wants to fight the best and to listen to his fans saying other boxers is afraid of a man, that lost to Andrade after Kessler had beaten the living daylight out of him - is just soo exhausting...
Please spare us. None of the top piers in SMW is afraid of Bute and he would get the fights he soo desperately long for - as you guys keep saying - if he would stop acting like he was fuc king king of the world - and get out of his protected little shell.

Until he man up and start acting like the unproven champ that he rightly is, I call him out as the chicken he is!

When this is said, I understand - being Danish - why you like - being that Canada is relatively small boxing wise - to have a champ in Bute. But that's as far as my understanding goes...

I agree. I also like Pavlik but he needs to get his act together. Hopefully he is surrounded by good people who can help him get his career back on track.

On his marketability compared to Kessler's: "My name is bigger than Mikkel Kessler's, believe it or not. If you go on the internet and you look at every boxing site and everything else, every time Kelly Pavlik's name comes up, it's big. You mean that you're going to tell me right now that you're going to draw 25,000 or 20,000 people in Canada in Montreal and in (Bute's) home town, and you're only going to offer me $1 million?

          This made me laugh.

Pavlik only sold like 1,000 or so tickets in his hometown. How delusional can he get thinking he is a name? He thinks selling 1,000 tickets is alot?

Pavlik is not the American dream or close to it. Pavlik might be a bIker gang poster child or a skin head hero but as for All American good looks and role model status Pavlik is far away. Tattoed heavily, emaciated looking a drunk not exactly what America wants in a hero. Pavlik turned off America's fan base years ago and is now more of a carnival attration than a boxing hero.

An untested undefeated fighter who gave him problems.
