I kind of thought the same thing. It looked a "tad bit" fast. But they could of gave Diego 20 seconds and he still would have been glassy-eyed.

Notice in the first fight when Diego got up both times he clearly told Ref Tony Weeks that he was ok and he was good enough to continue. He had his wits about him.

In the rematch he was caught so flush and hard there was no way he was able to continue. NO WAY.

The count seemed to be dead on to me. I just put my tape of the fight in... Corrales was hit 33 seconds in (at 2:27), hit the mat 34 seconds in (at 2:26). Cortez reached ten and waved off the fight just before 45 seconds, right as the clock was hitting 2:15. Boxrec has the official time of stoppage as :47 (at 2:13), but that kind of variance is par for the course when they announce the results.
