What are Hopkins chances against Dawson?

Dawson looked like complete crap in his last fight against that one bum, your money is safe..

He didn't look too good against Glen Johnson in the first fight, but looked like his old self when he fought Tarver.

Dawson can look bad in one fight, and look good the next. But when Dawson is motivated to win, he will fight at his absolute best, and no doubt he's very motivated to beat Hopkins.

Also Dawson has only fought twice in 14 months and recently switched trainers, so he will look rusty. But Don't worry Emanuel is already fixing Dawson's mistakes, which should be bad news Hopkins.

I always thought Dawson's style is a nightmare for Hopkins, but at the same time he's so inconsistent you can't really predict it.

If Dawson turns up on form then he should win a UD, if he doesn't then Hopkins will take this one.

I like Dawson in this fight, as evidenced by my bets. He'll turn up crazy hungry to win this. He's wanted this fight for a few years and is finally getting it. Look for him to put it on Bhop. So bad that people will say it's time for Hop to retire. Where are you at Sekondzout!!??

Hopkins fan here fight is 50/50. Dawson is patient, big & a good boxer. But he can't take pressure. If B-Hop stays & try to fights from the outside, he'll fall into Dawson's fight. Hopkins workrate is low which favors Dawson. B-Hop is gonna have to apply pressure, not by throwing many punches, but by coming forward at angles & keeping Dawson working, he'll win doing that. Add a little counter punching to keep Chad honest. We got a chess match between age & experience & youth & skills.

Styles make fights and I see this turning out like Tarver vs Hopkins. I know Dawson is alot better and younger than Tarver but Hopkins will use all the same tricks against the southpaw. Right hands through the middle, turning his man, positioning so Dawson can never get set to pull the trigger etc.

After the fight people will be surprised with how easily Hopkins dealt with Dawson as on paper it looked like a close 50-50 match up. On fight night though a perfectly executed gameplan by Hopkins will secure a wide points victory. Dawson will be second best all night and just wont be busy enough and unable to switch tactics. Hopkins will have his spot on and may even showboat late on like he did with Pavlik, Tarver and Pascal. It wont be an exciting fight and I agree with Pascal with that prediction but it will be a masterclass that will be admired in years to come.

aye mate i'm pretty sure he does or he did, i remember manny saying he wants chad to win by knockout more often and said he wants to train him for a rematch vs pascal

but that was like a year ago

on topic i love dawsons style and i think it will pose a problem to bhop
