What are Hopkins chances against Dawson?

Planning to put money on this fight but I havent seen much of Dawsons fights. All I know is he beat Adamek and lost to Pascal.

If dawson turns up it would be a difficult fight for Hopkins unless he's on P.E.Ds.But Hopkins will probably make this fight dirty anywhere,headbut,hold and cruise to a UD.You are better off betting on a pregnant horse where returns are guaranteed than this fight

He also beat Glen Johnson twice and Tarver twice.

That said. Not great. Dawson is a bad style match-up.

But I never count out BHOP.

Tough fight to call..My heart tells me Bhop but my mind says Dawson

Not a fight I would bet on.

Chads a very good boxer and has really good combinations and is the best in the division...but bernard is something else.

Yeah there are some fight you just dont bet on. I think this may be one of those fights.

Anyway I will look into a couple of Dawson fights and see if I can pick a winner.

Been looking to put money on this too. I like Dawson especially against Hopkins due to the fact that he's a southpaw, defensive minded and patience. Dawson has an excellent jab and IMO he uses it to control the fight...I've always liked Hopkins but i think this fight gives him to many problems especially against a young southpaw..

The key to fighting Bhop is that you HAVE to be first. You have to throw punches and combinations even if it doesnt land flush and try to create your own openings. If you fight at a slower pace like most boxers due Bernard is to tricky and will grind out a win. If you get let off your punches before he does and throw atleast three at a time then it will give him problems...idk if Dawsons trained to do this against this level of opposition.

As a hopkins fan I'm saying it's a 50/50 fight.

One thing however I do notice about Dawson is he almost always has to be perfectly set up before he throws his shots. He likes to set them up or else he really doesn't throw much. Hopkins if he uses his lateral movement and/or smothers him, Dawson could have a real hard time being effective. Kinda similar in how hopkins took away Pavlik's 1-2 combo and how he took away Tarver's as well.
