Vitali Destroys His Opponents...His Punches Can Break Your Leg

Watching Vitali ruin the career of yet another cuban heavyweight and pretty much run another olympian out of professional boxing, I got to thinking who could withstand his power over the course of a fight and mount any type of offensive game. Seeing Solis take a shot and go down clutching his leg, seeing Briggs get his arm broke trying to block a Vitali punch, seeing Lennox Lewis now stumble through sentences like Forest Gump after a labotomy, never seeing Sanders or Hide or so many of his opponents again in a decent fight...could anyone? It reminded me of what Wlad said about the last time he sparred Vitali...

Wlad: Vitali broke my leg once. How bad is it when you break an opponent's leg in the ring!

Thats just what he does. Theres never been a more dominant fighter. His punches to your face...break your leg. Thats like superman **** right there.

He threw almost 1,000 punches against Arreola! And Vitali is a big guy so most of those punches probably hurt like Hell. I don't know how many he landed but throwing almost 1,000 punches and being a big guy means you're in great shape. The way Vitali fights, he might even be around boxing even when he hits his 50's! I mean he was like what 38/39 yrs old when he fought Arreola?

Funnily enough, his opponents are often never able to produce a top quality performance after he beats them. Or before he beats them for that matter.

just watched a few vitali videos and i noticed he hardly keeps his hands up..most of his punches come from the waist line.

He's one of your favourite fighters, but you've only just noticed that he doesn't always keep his hands up?

He is now not my fav but one of my favs,I haven't really been following the HW division, lately I've been watching videos of both brothers..I think wladimir is the more classical boxer while vitali relies more on his power which makes him more entertaining..you never know when the KO is gonna come with him.

I dont want to turn this into a Lewis - Vitali thread but if he learnt to keep his hands up he may have lasted abit longer vs Lewis. He'd been getting away with those bad habbits for years and has done since but when you step up in class you need a defence.

He prods with his jab and circles with it if he cant get round the guard, He also feints alot and makes funny faces when leaning back. He does all this consistently but what you'd never see consistently from him was a solid tight defence . He could learn abit from his younger bro in that respect but I think everyone prefers Vitali as the tougher "come to fight" brother and if he hasnt utilised a guard yet then he isnt going to start now.

Wait, youre bringing up an amateur kickboxing fight that was held on a wrestling mat 20 years ago...This is how amazing Vitali is, his haters can only bring up amateur kickboxing fights that may or may not have happened as the most legitimate article on it at the time stated, "“Our fourth Gold came from Pele Reid when, after some superb fights, he met Klitschko of CIS (Russia) in the finals of the 89 plus category...an opponent even taller than Pele! With little trouble, Pele KO’d the huge Russian in round two with a reverse spinning kick to take the gold.”

Yep...no first name, calling him Russian...sounds legit to me...but thanks for proving my point that Vitali Klitschko is the most dominant boxer of all time, only criticism people can even come up with is that he once lost as practically a teenager in another sport. Whats next, are you going to say he once lost to shaq in a game of 1 on 1 basketball?
