Theres ppl on here that think Cotto is the superior fighter....thats just plain ******. Marquez p4p is better than Cotto and even a 140 Cotto get kod by 140 Marquez. JMM is no Chop Chop or Torres. thoughts?

Marquez has the better record and boxing skills, but head to head at a catchweight of 145lbs Cotto would KO Marquez.

with size and power Cotto win this one. Cotto is a good boxer not just a brawler. JMM is a little better skill wise but Cotto had won and fought much much better competition in their prime. I wouldnt give JMM any chances of beating Cotto in 140 lbs..weight division are there for a reason.

You're insane. Marquez has fought Mayweather, Casamayor while he was #1 @ Lightweight and coming off a big KO win, and arguably beat Pacquiao TWICE. Cotto would not be the best or toughest fighter he's fought.

The outcome of those fights were wrongly predicted based solely on size, without taking other variables into account, which is the reason why most people were so off on their predictions of those fights. And it's the reason why most people would be off once again in a Cotto-Marquez matchup by putting way to much stock into weight differences, instead of the difference in skill or the particular style matchup.

Marquez only has boxing ability over cotto, but people tend to forget cotto is a very a underrated boxer and has a great jab. Marquez will be ****** enough to brawl with cotto.
