Current Sergio vs the Taylor who beat Hopkins.

Who do you think would win? You can't forget the incredible physical tools Taylor had. He was bigger and stronger than Martinez, and you can't even say that Martinez would have a huge speed advantage either. Of course it would be a tough fight, but add to the fact that Taylor was young, hungry and confident. I've got Taylor. Just my opinion, so don't bash me.

taylor by SD. dibella had the judges in his pocket for that fight as you can see when one of the dummies gave taylor the 12th therefore giving him the victory. he would tell them to make sure taylor won since he's more marketable.

That JT went 36 close rounds with Hopkins and Wright. Martinez hasn't been in with any one like those versions of Hopkins and Wright. JT also had the balls to fight at 168 against Froch, and Abraham and actually win more rounds than Froch but lost by TKO. Martinez has no intentions of going up to 168. Although he's a former 147 pounder, while JT started at a higher weight. But JT did this while he was on the downside of his career, that's what makes it more ballsy.

Not the responses I was expecting, but I agree. JT was a very good fighter, his prime was just very short. His combination of speed, power and athleticism and the fact that hes naturally larger than Sergio give him the edge.

Taylor. With that being said, he along with Cintron are maybe the 2 most uncoordinated fighters Ive ever seen so who knows

I'd pick Martinez, Sergio isn't gonna stand in front of him the way Wright did and be on the receiving end. I mean Spinks gave him a lot of problems with his movement, Sergio would do more. Lets not forget the Spinks fight...

I might be in the minority in this but Hopkins looked a whole lot better at 175, and that to me was due to not having to make 160 anymore, I think it finally caught up with him. I thought his performances against Eastman and Oscar showed that. Steward also agreed that Hopkins should have made the move up a lot sooner. Anyway I'm gonna go with Sergio Martinez by U.D, it'll be competitive of course.

I'm with you except for the winner.I think Martinez is good enough to make it very competitive, but Taylor's size & relitively good boxing skills give him to edge.Slightly.
