The guy is pretty good, he can box when he chooses to has plenty of power and heart. He needs to tighten up that D but would still destroy a fraud like Chris John while taking nearly all of his shots and will probably beat Salido a good pressure fighter but nothing special in a rematch if it happens.

i think alot of posts in this thread are ridiculous. anyone who says he's not good is just typing out there ass.

personally, i don't agree on how he's handled his career. i don't like the fact that he's regressed as a fighter; and i don't like the choice of opponents he's had. doesn't mean he's not a good fighter.

Juanma has been pretty badly exposed, it will be difficult to salvage his career at this point, so they're taking zero chances from now on.

I'm not, it robbed Gamboa of the chance to do it in what would surely have been a hilarious roflstomp

the issue is will he? this is the problem I've had with the guy since before the mtgawa and salido exposés.

its one thing to hope that he sees his current fortunes as karmic and wisen up. but will he?

            I'm not confident he will.

We have no idea how he mentally handles a loss he has been regressing ever since the Ponce fight, maybe this is a wake up that his power can't always bail him out or maybe he loses all confidence, he still has plenty of potential and we can only wait to see if he realizes it.

i thought the mtgawa hiccup was enough for him to reevaluate the fighter he thought he was, but it wasn't. did it take a loss for him to do so? we'll obviously have to wait and see.

Well, that was a devastating loss in his hometown...hopefully he looks ok in the tune up and don't look shot, I want no excuses when Salido knocks him the fuck out again with ease.

I think juan ma's biggest mistake was to say the he was puerto rico's best boxer...Many puerto rican's after the fight felt that he got what he deserved for being so ****y...

Salido is a pretty good fighter, no bum.

Juanma was headed towards what happened too him soon anyway. He's too squared up when he fights. He relies on his right hook too much. Mtagwa did expose him. Then Concepcion dropped him. Marquez is a much smaller man, so naturally Juanma will walk through his punches and beat him up like Izzy did. I think he can beat Salido in a rematch, but it's very likely he looks bad again.
