That is a very bad contract. Now people can't say HBO was wrong to Dzinziruk by forcing him into a Martinez fight. Who on Earth could he fight on HBO to justify that kind of price tag? Shaw ***ed him if you ask me.

I certainly agree. I don't understand why HBO is doing this. In Boxing you're only as good as your last fight and besides HBO holds all the chips. If you do well and HBO wants you they can pay more than SHO, ESPN, or whatever else is out there. HBO should stop giving extra incentives. You can still make the big fights by saying you fight on this network and you fight who we want or you ain't getting ****. HBO seems close minded when they do these contracts. They are the boss, act like it.

Dzinziruk did nothing wrong. HBO is 100% at fault here based on what I read in the article.

HBO is broke because they signed a deal with GBP that guaranteed them a certain amount of Dates. Those fights have all bombed. They have sold a combined total of less than 50K PPV's this year.

We wouldn't be talking about this if Ross Greenburg wasn't a dumbass and insulted the most powerful man in boxing - Bob Arum. If HBO doesn't fix the relationship with Top Rank they will have to cut back on HBO Boxing big time and no one wants that because HBO still has the best presentation and production values in America.

This is another example of an overhyped Euro Trash boxer! No one in the US cares about Euro fighters because its a fact that most of there fights are against other Euro boxers and overseas! I mean cmon plus who wants to see Sergei fight Lucas Konency, who is another Euro bum with a padded record fighting mostly Czech boxers overseas and most of the guys Konency has fought and beat have losing records, im talkin below below 500, and against guys with winning records he goes the distance! @Hanzo, I know you're not comparing Sergei to Mosley, who dominated the 135 and 147 division for nearly a decade, and sad that he will be remember from his Manny fight which I agree he did back pedal..Kinda like Zab did against Khan.. ANd i give you another point that this year had been alot of boxers goign to the ring and just leave all the training and sweat at home.. But u went over board comparing Money May to Sergei.. HBO has an agreement with Dzin and Shaw, they should honor it.

The reason he was forced to fight Martinez was because they wanted to get the date they'd already promised when negotiating the terms for Bradley-Alexander him out of the way. They clearly don't want this guy on their network if he's going to win, but it's not his fault that HBO had a agreement with him and now they're not going to honor it.

Hope he sues them and wins.
