hbo is run by a bunch of ******s. stop guaranteeing promoters fights for their other fighters in favor of making other fights(blackmail). stop guaranteeing more fights on the network just for taking "hard" fights. it's supposed to be a tough fight if you are fighting on hbo! paying dzinziruk 800k and guaranteeing him another fight was ****** when you could have told martinez to fight pirog or go take a walk. hbo loves protecting its babies.

hbo was wrong to ever agree to give dzinziruk a fight on hbo just for making bradley-alexander. that's no way to conduct business and can you blame bradley for leaving that scumbag shaw.

I certainly agree. I don't understand why HBO is doing this. In Boxing you're only as good as your last fight and besides HBO holds all the chips. If you do well and HBO wants you they can pay more than SHO, ESPN, or whatever else is out there. HBO should stop giving extra incentives. You can still make the big fights by saying you fight on this network and you fight who we want or you ain't getting ****. HBO seems close minded when they do these contracts. They are the boss, act like it.

Dzinziruk did nothing wrong. HBO is 100% at fault here based on what I read in the article.

HBO is broke because they signed a deal with GBP that guaranteed them a certain amount of Dates. Those fights have all bombed. They have sold a combined total of less than 50K PPV's this year.

We wouldn't be talking about this if Ross Greenburg wasn't a dumbass and insulted the most powerful man in boxing - Bob Arum. If HBO doesn't fix the relationship with Top Rank they will have to cut back on HBO Boxing big time and no one wants that because HBO still has the best presentation and production values in America.

Too funny. Fight the best fighter in the world for your biggest purse in history (I am sure promoters Shaw and Pelullo would have done ANYTHING to get that stiff on the network), and HBO offers a return bout with a loss--COMICAL

I mean cmon plus who wants to see Sergei fight Lucas Konency, who is another Euro bum with a padded record fighting mostly Czech boxers overseas and most of the guys Konency has fought and beat have losing records, im talkin below below 500, and against guys with winning records he goes the distance! Oh sorry, he has a EBU belt, who cares? Konency is goin to do nothing for Sergeis career, in fact Vanesis Sergeis mandatory...That wld be a better fight , but Sergei dont want Heat like that, especially after lighting him up during sparring few years back! Sergei is overrated and demands too much to fight! Euro Trash boxer!
at least these guys fought with their hearts out not like most american boxers today who always go on their bicycle when they fight! Wheres the thrill in that?? Just look at mosley and FMJ?? not to mention Dirrell?? Are all american boxers fight this way?? Where are the beasts like Foreman, Tyson and Alis of today?? Thats why American boxers loses fans fast because they fought like cowards....land of the brave my ass for these ****s

@Hanzo, I know you're not comparing Sergei to Mosley, who dominated the 135 and 147 division for nearly a decade, and sad that he will be remember from his Manny fight which I agree he did back pedal..Kinda like Zab did against Khan.. ANd i give you another point that this year had been alot of boxers goign to the ring and just leave all the training and sweat at home.. But u went over board comparing Money May to Sergei.. U do know he owned the 147 division for more than a decade right? WOW! How can you compare the level of competition in the US to Europe...IT's not even a match... I'll give Sergei this much he is a boxer puncher with a great jab.. BUt no way near what Mosley or Money May were! Lucas Konency ? What is Sergei going to get? what kind of respect fighting Lucas...? Cmon! If I were HBO i wldnt sign him either...HBO doesnt carea bout your name, they want action and rating, blood and sweat .. Point blank!

This is all the result of Steroidgio Martinez cherrypicking. Earning his nickname "MARAVAGINA".

HBO has an agreement with Dzin and Shaw, they should honor it.

The reason he was forced to fight Martinez was because they wanted to get the date they'd already promised when negotiating the terms for Bradley-Alexander him out of the way. They clearly don't want this guy on their network if he's going to win, but it's not his fault that HBO had a agreement with him and now they're not going to honor it.

Hope he sues them and wins.
