Still don't think B-Hop can beat Dawson.

He's probably right but it's still a fight that has to happen.

why do people keep calling BOXERS "boring" .. the name of the moda****in sport is BOXING , if i was training to become a boxer i would love for my coach to be either Floyd or Hopkins , maybe even Andre Ward.. pure boxers who know the craft very well. it's not a street fight it's an art form, hit and not get hit.

and this fight has to happen, Dawson been talkin sht about how bhop is duckin him , so grandpa gon beat the breaks off his a.ss

              My dear fellow,
You are damn right...Pascal was near to be kayoed in the Dawson fight...and may be damned myself, but I do not see old Hopkins, who is better than ever, a winner against Dawson either, Dawson roughed Tarver as never before, peace, Tesholama

Pascal still exposed Dawson. Dawson just doesn't have the killer instinct. I personally don't think Pascal was gonna get knocked out. He was in trouble but i think he would survived.

Dawson's so overrated its ridiculous and people still don't want to admit that Pascal had his number and try to discredit the win.

Really what did Pascal do?? Land a right a various times and basically out worked/out pointed Chad.

That uppercut had Pascal literally out on his feet and he needs to thank god he has a boulder for a head that got him out of that fight because he was gone.

I can't believe he acted the way he did after that fight after nearly being out. Talk about crawling to the finish line after someone trips . Give me a break.

Far as Hopkins goes, Hopkins has problems with fast, guys period. Pascal is too unskilled but I definitely see Dawson being able to outwork Hopkins in this one. Hopkins doesn't like to take risk if the payout isn't there. He could do that with Pavlik who's too slow.

Hopkins will try to fight Dawson the same way he fought Wright. He'll try to smoother him and make it an ugly fight. If Chad gets discouraged, he'll lose. But at this point (and I'm a HOP fan) I don't see Hop beating Dawson who's tasted (albeit lucky on Pacal's front) knows what it's like to be humbled, still in his prime and as Hopkins says, "has a teacher" as a trainer.

Now if Hop pulls this off, this would be his best win in years and again that includes the Pavlik and Tarver fights IMO.

I agree, I don't see this one being entertaining even though I know Hopkins is gonna press the action. This is why regardless of Hopkins-Dawson holding more importance, I was more open to other options like Bute. Just the styles doesn't match up that well. Hopkins is good at cutting guys off but cutting the ring off against Dawson is entirely different.

I see Bernard laying an egg in this fight trying to be too perfect in landing that lead right like the one that dropped Joe, but he'll find the rounds slipping away from a 6'3" southpaw that will pile on round after round with beating Bernard to the punch and controlling the center. If need be Chad can also fight backwards to punctuate 10-9 rounds without having to exchange. This should be a recurring theme for a salty 117-111 UD by Chad due to Nard taking too much time to pinpoint the lead right or right cross, low punch output and not closing the space/distance against Manny Steward's new student that should be much improved this 2nd training out of Kronk. On paper, rather easy fight for Chad imo.
