Comments Thread For: Pascal's Take: Hopkins-Dawson Will Be a Boring Fight

Former WBC/IBO light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (26-2, 16KOs) is not expecting fireworks in the upcoming championship fight between Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32KOs) and Chad Dawson (30-1, 17KOs), which takes place on October 15 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Pascal won an eleven round technical decision over Dawson last August. He fought Hopkins to a controversial draw in December and lost a close decision in their May rematch.

I don't care how boring the fight is.As long as there is a clear winner, this fight does wonders for the sport.

Jean Pascal: That's gonna be a good fight. I think its a 50/50 split chance but Dawson is a great boxer. Hopkins an old fox....he knows all the tricks and all the dirty tricks.

Pascal should thank his lucky stars for that fluke win over Dawson -- it's made him rich and famous -- he should be an expert on boring fights since he's been in his share of them....

I dont know what he is going on about to be honest. Hopkins is a legend and has promised to be a more aggresive fighter in his late years and as for dawson was on the verge of knocking pascal out if it werent for the cut! He's just envious because he lost his title.

Perhaps if he(Pascal) learned more how to be more of a tactical fighter and not someone that just "whales" and having no method to their madness, he wouldn't have been on the losing end of the Hopkins fight.

I'm sick of people thinking EVERYONE wants to see defenseLESS slug fest. I'm pretty excited about this matchup with Dawson and Hopkins myself.
