Paul Williams, what type of trainer lets you go into your fight unprepared to get rocked time and time again by the same punch?

Berto and any DC based fighter, including Williams. All those trainers are good enough to get you to a certain level and then none of the guys ever progress past that point anymore. Hopefully Gary Russell doesnt fall into that trap but he's trained by his dad so it might be better then all those other same DC cats

I'm surprised Alexander and Juanma haven't been mentioned yet.

good point.....sometimes it's not necessarily that a trainer is poor, it's just that his style isn' suited to the fighter. For example i thought Mayweather Sr was perfectly suited for the likes of Guzman and Dawson, Steward is good for Wlad.....etc. I don't think however Steward is good for Dawson. I also don't think Whittaker is good for Judah. Actually i think the best trainer for Zab atm would be a guy like Roach, and even before then it would be a good mix imo....Jugdah's strength is in delivering hard shots with speed speed speed......always has been, he loses fights because once the pressure is on he stops throwing punches and trying to get off first, which is really evident if you watch all of his fights.....if he let his hands go more against he would have done better in his career.....
