Well the face first brawling drunkard beat a younger, fresher, Malignaggi in the same TKO11 fashion that Khan did it 2 years after Hatton. Comparing their faces after the fight, Khan is the one that looked like he fought a face first fight.

Hatton's win over Tszyu is better than any win Khan will ever have. And i'm pretty sure Hatton would have mauled Maidana to death without suffering any near death experience and running like Khan did. Actually, Hatton could come back now, and still do better than Khan against Khan's last 3-4 opponents. Khan wouldn't even take a fight as dangerous as Collazo to test the WW division, I hear he wants Matthew Hatton. That's not what Hatton would have done. Hatton wanted the best at their best. Khan has admitted to wanting the best, off their peak.

So yeah, let's not compare Ricky Hatton to Amir Khan.

Khan has never and will never get a fraction of the media coverage that Hatton got because he does not appeal to the same people. Hatton appealed the undereducated and underprivileged working class of the country who viewed Hatton as "One of the commoners", Khan is a complete anathema he appeals to the educated and privileged who see him as the "Golden Boy" of British boxing.

You really don't have a clue.

Very inaccurate (bias) post for a start Hatton had a swollen left eye after only the 2nd round against Malignaggi he also looked very bad at times during that fight, Pauli protested against the stoppage saying he wasn’t hurt and he could of finished the fight he also said ‘I’m better than getting stopped by Ricky Hatton’ he had no such complaint when Khan stopped him overall Khans performance was much better imo.

While Hattons win vs old inactive Tsyzu was a good win and arguably his best and yes it probably is better than any Khan win to date however to say Khan will never have a win as good as that on his resume is pure speculation.

Hatton would not have mauled Maidana to death he would have beat him in a competitive fight via U.D, Hatton struggled against lesser fighters during his career. Luis Collazo had Hatton out on his feet in the 12th round.

Hatton did not fight the best when they where at there best apart from Floyd and Manny and look what happened there. Hatton was 24 when he stepped up in competition and faced his first live opponent in 39 year old Vince Phillips who gave Hatton a very tough fight. Khan’s resume at 24 Dwarfs Hatton’s.

I don’t agree with T.S way to much generalization and that is never a good thing. I like both Hatton and Khan and I fall into neither of those categories.

                  Boom.

Serious generalisations by the thread starter.

Hatton i think is underrated on here, but then I must be one of those working class commoners you talk about and not a suit wearing bmw driver eh! Look I have the username Chav to boot!!

Fans like you drive a wedge between fans. I know millionaires and working class people that love Khan and Hatton equally. So flawed logic my asian friend Hardboiled.
