The guy who beat Cinton and should have beat Lara.

It was early in his career, but that shows Mikes got talent.

I would make him even money with Maidana, Matthysse and Peterson.

Margo had a hell of a career after the Martinez fight, so I don't understand the comparison. Sergio had most of his success at 154+. But was a capable WW.

Alvarado's a very solid fighter.

Lets see what he can do vs a guy who stands in front of him like Lucas or Maidana.

I think he's more than capable of the upset.

He may not have any big wins yet, but he knows how to take care of business vs other solid fighters like Clottey.

He's only been slowed down by legal issues.

Same could be said of molina who had success at 154 and not at the weight alvarado beat him plus he had like 12 fights at the time. Plus people say that margs win over martinez doesnt mean anything bc he was young in ring years

both winners, alvarado and marroquin didn't look that great tonight. bad night or not, i'm having a hard time believing alvarado can be a top dog at 140. time will tell though, hopefully he gets a good name next.
