As a matter of fact I'm laughing right now, lol. Boxing needs a defillibrator in the words of the great Larry Merchant. Does anyone remember when he said that?

Didn't avoid Cotto as much as he did Marg.

Then he un-retired after they both had losses.

While I always felt PBF would handily defeat him, I agree Cotto should have gotten the chance. It's still a respectable fight now, but not the must see it was in late 07-early 08.

Interviewer:"Great fight Cotto. You look spectacular."

            Cotto:"Thank you."

Interviewer:"so, tell us, Miguel. Who's next? Is Floyd Mayweather next in line? Would you like to fight him next?"

Interviewer:"I Don't know. I have to see what my promoter says. @#%%^^^ He's a good opponent, but right now I have to go home and decide what I'm going to do next @$%^^&*( My promoter and I will decide who the best fighter is next. When Floyd was "supposedly" supposed to fight Cotto he fought Oscar in the biggest fight ever(monetarily). Then he decided to fight Oscar again in the second biggest fight ever but instead retired before it. Now by the time Floyd came back Cotto was already damaged goods. So...........I don't see where you are coming from.

Floyd also addressed the Marg bull****. "People said I was ducking that guy....err......Margarito but they offered me something like 6 million for that fight. Why take that when I had an offer for 10 million and the belt? I'm just giving yall the facts."

                what a convenient retirement schedule!

those aren't the facts though. the real facts are they offered him 8 million to fight margarito. he turned that down. then a couple months later they offered him 8 million to fight baldomir and he accepted it. so obviously it wasn't the money. i guess it was the high profile fight against a journeyman that tempted him.

Ummmmm. Baldomir was the owner of the WBC welter weight title. Who had Margarito beaten back then?
