When Floyd was "supposedly" supposed to fight Cotto he fought Oscar in the biggest fight ever(monetarily). Then he decided to fight Oscar again in the second biggest fight ever but instead retired before it. Now by the time Floyd came back Cotto was already damaged goods. those aren't the facts though. the real facts are they offered him 8 million to fight margarito. he turned that down. then a couple months later they offered him 8 million to fight baldomir and he accepted it. so obviously it wasn't the money. i guess it was the high profile fight against a journeyman that tempted him.
