well martinez is the 160 champ so arguments could be made there is 2 weightclasses between him and pac aswell.

Then I could make the argument that Martinez makes 154 no problem.

Then I could make the argument that he has every RIGHT to challenge Pac because he JUST won a belt in a weight class he was the best in.

With that said everyone who followed boxing at the time know that Winky-Mayweather was NEVER going to happen.

floyd was the p4p #1 fighter and the biggest star in the sport. it's on him more than these other guys to make the good fights happen. he has all the power and can pick and choose whoever he wants to fight. they are basically just waiting till he is ready. he went out of his way to make sure the cotto fight never happened. same with margarito. that's why he gets the blame.

If it was on anybody it was on Cotto to at least make an attempt to try and get the fight.

I mean who's Pac chasing? Bradley, Martinez, JMM, Jones, Berto, all want the top spot. So they want Pac, they're chasing Pac. They want what Pac has.

Who's Floyd chasing? Bradley, Khan, Martinez, Ortiz, all want the top spot. SO they wan't Floyd, they're chasing Floyd. They want what Floyd has

You dont have to say anything else to make your self available. Unlike this other fighters, Cotto have selfrespect and some arrogance to, so he wasnt chasing Mayweather and begging for a fight like this other guys have done.

When Cotto beat Mosley and Floyd beat Hatton, that was the fight to be made, period, is not rocket science!!!
