Nope, no shame. I don't think a Wlad-Wach matchup is any more ludicrous than Adamek vs Vitali, or Wlad vs Chisora -- in fact, it may be less ludicrous, as Wach is a big boy who is packing some power.

Could Wach use more fights before he get a shot? Sure.

But if he's offered a title shot, he should take it. He's 31 and isn't going to get any younger. If he ever hit Wlad with a shot like he hit McBride with, he'd be wearing some championship belts.

And look out for Artur Szpilka in the future!

Adamek might not have earned his shot as much as some, but he at least fought Arreola and Grant and won the CW title. Chisora was a massive mismatch I agree but that fight didn't go ahead, so I don't think it's relevant here.

If Wach gets offered a title shot I wouldn't blame him in the slightest for taking it. That's not my problem here. My problem is people claiming Wach to be a legitimate opponent for Wlad. Wlad's opponents are generally of a high quality, top ten guys if not former belt holders, and Wach would be a massive massive step down from that. Sure, he has a bit of pop, but so do a lot of guys in the HW division, and he seems to have very little besides that.

Wlad would school him so badly it'd make me feel queasy. I just don't wanna see that.

If Wach is really the only man available (and I have a hard time believing that) and Wlad wants to earn some easy money, then sure, why not? But don't dare try to tell me that it would be a legit fight, because it plainly isn't.

Oh there are lots of people available - journeymen like Chauncey Welliver are willing, and I'm sure Travis Walker, Mike Mollo, Kersten Manswell and Tye Fields would give it a go.

But those guys are all worse choices than Mariusz Wach.

The better choices (Dimitrenko, Arreola, and Povetkin) are unfortunately not available and/or willing.

They clear out anyone who is even remotely a challenger or a ranked contender because they fight 2-3 times a year and anyone who wants a shot gets it.

If there was only Wlad or Vitali fighting 1-2 times a year then there would be a line of people who would be calling them out and claiming to be the best and that they deserve it.

As of right now nobody in HW division will be considered any good because if they ever win against anyone the question will be "are they good enough to beat a klitschko?"

The issue as I understand it here isn't that the Klits have cleaned out the division but that there is no one decent currently available. Both Arreola and Povetkin have fights lined up, and Chambers has to beat Thompson to earn a rematch. I'm aware that the Klits are far and away number one and two in the division, but there should still be standards to uphold, and giving this Wach guy a title shot would be shameful. He simply hasn't earned it, either by virtue of beating quality opponents or by longevity at the top end of the division.

After watching this fight I have to give credit to the K brothers for being so athletic despite their height. I dont think I have seen HW's that tall to be so athletic like the Klitschkos.

I have been one of the biggest klitshcko "haters" on this forum. Probably more than JAB. But I give credit where credit is due. And the Klitschko brothers are the most dominant HW's in history.
