Peterson will make Khan work VERY hard for a win - sure Khan has speed, and skill, but not all that much power, if Lamont can handle Ortiz power and still come back for more, (which he did) he can handle Khan's power no doubt about it.

Let's face it - Lamont's ability to work the body is FAR better than Khan has shown thus far, at least from what l have seen from Khan. I have seen every fight Peterson has had as a Pro- and most of them from ringside since I was the Ring Announcer, and l will say this about Lamont.
"If any fighter takes Lamont Peterson for granted, they are making a VERY BIG mistake. Lamont has great vision, and can pick off punches in bunches, he is also a VERY smart fighter, he will set you up for a punch 2 Rounds before he throws it, and the man has skills plus TONS of HEART to go along with it trust me - he isn't going to lay down for anyone including Khan."

If Peterson has success with a jab and then follows to the body, Khan will be in for a VERY long fight indeed. Let's not forget that Barry Hunter (Lamont's Trainer) is one hell of a fight guy in his own right, in fact l would say Peterson has the better corner as well in this one, and that could be a factor in the fight.

It's the Fight Game my friends, and you just never know what will happen until after the bell sounds...

Peterson is a slow startered it takes him about 8 rounds to get into the fight and wont be able to cope with Khans speed and movement, It will be a one sided beating, Anyone who thinks Peterson can beat Khan is intellectually challenged or just a hater. Peterson has no power like Maidana, He has no speed like Malignaggi, He doesnt have a combination of the two like Judah. I just dont see how Peterson can be anything more than a punching bag for Khan.

Khan is allowed one fight before he must face his IBF mandatory, I think he should look at the Maidana and Guerrero winner or Morales if he gets the WBC. Fighting Peterson would be a step backwards for Khan and it will be a waste of a fight when we can see competitive fights instead of watching Khan beating the living day lights out of Peterson.

What hype?? Peterson is a good solid fighter. He's not overrated at all, he's rated about where he should be rated.

I'd say Ortiz has more power now at 147 (mainly due to a surge in pride )than he did at 140 when they fought last year. Not saying Lamont can't take a good shot. But under Freddie, Khan seems to be improving with every outing.

I agree, Lamont won't make it easy for Khan to win. I just wasn't all that impressed with his latest performance.

You just agreed with someone else that it would be an easy win for Khan.

I like Peterson but he hasnt reached his potential and never will. I dont like most of the D.C. trainers and Im from near the area. All of them are good enough to get you to this level and then none of the guys ever progress past that anymore. They hit a ceiling and never advance when they have more talent then that. Peterson actually seems more on the downside to me right now actually. I think Khan routes him
