i wouldn't go equating american (pardon the non-pc) talent to european talent dude. beating an eastman and a japanese cat doesn't scream "come back!"

come on now. in that case i could argue that hopkins ruined trinidad, who has he beat since the hopkins fight? i wouldnt say beating cherifi and mayorga screams COMEBACK either. i would say that beating an undefeated, natural middleweight in howard eastmen and a random japanese middleweight is just as impressive if not more so than beating mayorga jumping up two weight divisions and a finished cherifi. joppy is just an ordinary fighter, and an idiot to boot. like mayorga he didnt think trinidad could hurt him. i dont know why people always come into boxing matches with trinidad thinking he cant hurt him, they all end up on their ass. mayorga was done after round 1 when he let trinidad blast him with those flush lefthooks.

If you wanna get techincal mayorga only jumped up one weight class cuz he came in overweight against mitchell (i think thats his name). But ruining career is what trinidad did to reid, not what hopkins did to tito. Where is reid now? what did he do after they fight? It is a better arguement to say that tito has not faced much competition since his lose to hopkins. Right now tito is more famous than ever and everyone wants to fight him. hes the money man at 160, so how is that a career ruined. And if mayo was no competition than why was the world 50/50 on who would win that fight. but saying mayo was no comp. is better than sayin titos career was ruined

i disagree , i think the no mas move actually saved freitas from a career ending beating.
